This project showed a set of mimic historic windows made of contemporary aluminum-clad teak wood materials with French window outswing openings. Located in the luxury community of Beverly Hills, LA, this client's idea was to meet the energy efficiency needs and standards of modern houses as much as possible while maintaining a historic design.
These windows are restored to the original building appearance and with modern energy efficiency performance. With a historic window design heritage and the ability to bring completely unobstructed views to your home.
In this regard, the SDLS (Simulated Divided Lites with Spacer Bars) décor, added a more historic and solemn sentiment to this modern house. Square-shaped divided lite profiles added that special touch to match windows to the historic architectural style, turning a large open pane into a dramatic statement.

The old sliding patio door was loose at the bottom sealing and the one layer of glass made the glass wall with a bad energy efficiency performance. We replaced the fully sealed casement door to provide a more comfortable temperature for the entire interior room. These aluminum simulated divided lites with spacer bars on sidelines and glass doors brought a historic impression without compromising any energy efficiency ability.
