The first one is located in the Caribbean Sea region, bifold windows used in this project can give you a totally refreshing idea. Rather than bifold windows, it is more like bifold doors. The client's unique requirement was to install large, fully openable windows on the second-floor balcony of the villa. Bedroom, study, and recreation room, are all fitted with these ultra-large bifolds.
Because of the direction facing the sea, such large bifolds are used at all openings on the second floor, although there is no access to the outdoor space. The owner of the house has installed a transparent glass fence under the openings to ensure personal safety.
These large opening sashes give great freedom to customize window and door systems for houses in these areas with better environmental conditions. 01 / Profiles & Energy Efficiency
Doorwin applies the best thermal break aluminum for ultra-large bifolds, not matter window or door. Thermal break aluminum is a material that applies a polyamide bar (PA66 Nylon) between the interior and exterior aluminum to stop heat transmission, also known as thermally broken aluminum. The polyamide bar is usually non-metal. The polyamide we use is from the world-famous brand Technoform Bautec™. Thermal breaks have decreased aluminum frame U-factors (heat loss rate) from roughly 2.0 to about 1.0 Btu/hr-sq. In hot climates. Our thermal break aluminum is more than 1.4 mm in thickness, which is much thicker and stronger than most companies.
Our energy-efficient integrated glazing units (IGU) are designed to follow NFRC standards and meet US Energy Star ratings. These units feature double or triple pane, warm edge spacers, argon gas fill, and Low-E coatings. Doorwin's professional packing system guarantees all products are delivered safely and without any damage. We apply a four-point packing system. Firstly, adhesive plastic film is applied on interior wood frames and exterior aluminum frames to avoid scratches on the surface. Then, a paper board is applied after we apply air bubble film surrounding the whole windows/ doors to avoid any destruction or clash. Lastly, we place them into a durable non-fumigation plywood crate to avoid any possible damage during transportation.
