Located in the center of the city it was originally a textile factory. As built in the early twentieth century, its exterior and original windows and doors have fallen into a shabby state over the years.
The new owner has taken over the site of the factory and wants to turn it into an industrial-style office building. So, the exterior walls were only simply maintained, not repainted to maintain a sense of age while allowing the new windows to blend in with the overall atmosphere while highlighting the design aesthetics.
Therefore at that time, our design idea was to provide a larger light area while maintaining the overall aesthetics and maintaining good ventilation without taking up too much interior area by opening windows.
However, we encountered a problem with the window type. The factory's reconstruction standards require that the window type and opening method should be consistent with the appearance before the renovation. The old windows were single-hung windows, and although the client felt that the functionality of the old windows was outdated, there was no other way out. At this time, our designer came up with a proposal that we could change the window opening method to tilt and turn while maintaining the same appearance. Finally, we adopted upper fixed windows, and lower tilt and turn windows, all with simulated-divided-lite with warm spacers. From the visual side, our products completely simulated the original single-hung windows in the factory.
The tilt and turn window can both tilt inwards at the top or open inwards like common casement windows. This is the most typical kind of window in Germany, its native land. It is likewise widespread in many other European nations. In Europe, it is typical for these to be of the "turn first" kind. i.e., when the handle is counted on 90 levels the window opens up in the side-hung mode. With the handle transformed to 180 levels, the window opens in the bottom open mode.
Anyway, tilt and turn windows provide functional features like ventilation and opening ways and perfectly match the whole building’s aesthetic taste. After the discussion with the customer, we added more detailed decorations like simulated-divided-lite grilles, with TGI warm spacer. 01 / Glazing Configuration
Double-glazing windows with US standards and NFRC certifications. Depending on the orientation of the windows and doors in the house, different SHGC values’ glazing is used. High SHGC glazed is used with caution on the sun’s facing windows to help with overheating in summer. In the beginning, our client thinks triple-glazing is the best choice since it has the best chances of keeping cold out; however, it may not be best for a mixed climate, where summers are hot, and it’s more expensive. High-quality double-glazed windows will keep you warmer in the winter while cutting on energy costs; it’s also best for hot summer climates.
So finally, we decided to go with double glazing. Our energy-efficient integrated glazing units (IGU) feature double-pane glass, warm-edge spacers, argon gas fill, Low-E coatings, and fully tempered glass, they can not only create a comfortable and natural indoor environment but also save electricity bills and heating bills around 300~700USD per year according to your whole building’s fenestration areas. We will not go into production until you have signed off on the drawing to ensure that you receive a final product that meets the exact requirements of your project.
03 / Delivery & Warranty

Each layer of the outer packaging will be labeled to guide you on how to install, it to avoid delaying the progress due to incorrect installation.
