It goes without saying that New York climate could either solidify the home's comfort or truly challenge it. Our clients weren't keen on the typical ups and downs – comfort was their top priority. A warm winter oasis they wanted, and wisely they chose our exceptional aluminum-clad wood masterpieces to achieve just that – a happy symphony of function and beautiful aesthetics.

For mechanism reasons, in-ward windows have better insulation than out-ward windows. Tilt & turn windows feature a dual function sash that allows for comfortable, controlled operation– there are two convenient opening modes available! Simply by tilting the window inwards, that inviting fresh air breezes through the home— you get a wide open vent, enhancing the inviting air-circulation, yet with minimal outdoor exposure creating a greater sense of serenity in this enchanting space. Then there’s “turning”—the function that enables the window to smoothly swing open like a regular window. By gracefully swiveling the whole sashes, a larger expanse opens to the breezy havens outside -- a beautifully maximizing those wide-open views that truly inspire. This remarkable system also minimizes the impact on both interior space and aesthetics, contributing beautifully to the elegance and practicality our clients craved! And think, both options conveniently help with cleaning.

The heart of their vision? Those captivating divided-lite windows, a hallmark of classic architectural charm. Their choice? A 6-lite grille design – a true testament to their commitment to a timeless aesthetic. But Doorwin doesn't stop at simply replicating the look of the past. We embrace innovation, and that's where our Simulated Divided-Lite with Spacer Bar (SDLS) technology comes into play. This cutting-edge approach allows us to achieve the desired aesthetic of traditional divided-lites while maximizing energy efficiency.
Here's how it works: Instead of using actual muntins (the traditional bars that separate the glass panes), we use simulated divided lite bars that are permanently adhered to both sides of the glass. These bars create the illusion of separate panes, adding depth and visual appeal. For an even more authentic look, we also incorporate a spacer bar between the glass panes, further enhancing the illusion of traditional divided-lites.
